How It Works
Four steps from where you are now to where your employer needs you to be.
Diagnostic Session
60 minutes. You attempt a real accounting task while I watch. I identify exactly where your gaps are — and build your entire programme around them. We skip what you already know and focus every session on what you actually need.
Personalised Programme
Based on your diagnostic, I design your session plan. Targeting an FP&A role? We prioritise financial modelling. Never run a close? We start there. Your programme is built around your target role and your actual gaps.
Weekly 1-on-1 Sessions
We meet at your schedule via Zoom or Google Meet. You attempt tasks first, I observe and ask questions, we correct together, and you replicate. Between sessions, you practise on case study tasks and send me your work beforehand.

Who You'll Be Learning With
I’m Willie — an accounting and finance educator with 8+ years of experience in both professional finance roles and online tutoring. I have worked with students across the US and Canada, helping them go from struggling in their accounting classes to landing jobs and thriving in them.
Implementation Tutoring is not a course I designed to sell online. It is the way I have always tutored the students who got the most out of our sessions — working through real problems side by side, until they could execute the work independently.
My background spans practical accounting and deep teaching experience. I understand both what employers expect on Day 1 and exactly where the gap between university accounting and real-world accounting lies.

Who is this programme designed for?
Accounting and finance students in their second year and beyond, recent graduates entering the workforce, early-career professionals (0–3 years) who feel underprepared, and career changers entering accounting or finance from another field.
Do I need a strong accounting background to start?
You need a basic foundation — you should know what debits and credits are and have taken at least one accounting course. You do not need Excel expertise or practical experience. The programme meets you exactly where you are.
How is this different from a regular accounting tutor?
Regular tutoring helps you pass your exams. Implementation Tutoring prepares you for the real work employers expect on Day 1. You build practical skills and a portfolio of deliverables — not just a better understanding of theory.
What if I can only meet once a week?
Perfectly fine. Programmes are built around your schedule. Students meeting once a week complete the Core programme in approximately 15 weeks. Twice a week takes 8 weeks. You set the pace.
Can I focus on just one skill — like Excel or financial modelling?
Absolutely. The Starter package is designed exactly for this. Tell us your target role and your biggest gap and we design your programme around that specific skill area.
What software do I need?
Microsoft Excel (2016 or later). QuickBooks Online has a free trial used during the Chart of Accounts course — no permanent subscription needed. Zoom or Google Meet for sessions. All case study materials and Excel workbooks are provided at no extra cost.
